Betsy Lee, president of Prayer Ventures, will lead the sessions. Betsy has written several books on prayer including The Healing Moment and Prayer Is a Welcome Place. She has been involved in prayer ministry for twenty years: training prayer teams and teaching seminars and mobilizing whole churches to pray. “This workshop gave me a great chance to learn how to pray with other people,” says Dave Olson. “It’s not so hard once you are shown how to do it and get a chance to practice. This is really powerful stuff! It’s amazing what God will do for people if you just ask.” The training is Christ-centered and biblically based, with lots of hands-on practice praying with and for each other. Topics include:
Classes will be held Thursday nights 6:30-8:30 PM at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church (14107 Hudson Road S, Afton MN 55001) on January 10, 17, 24 & 31. A community-wide healing service will be held at Shepherd of the Valley (Saturday, February 2, 7:00-8:30 pm) so you can practice what you’ve learned. The cost for the training is $50. Married couples can attend for $75 and students for $30. Ask your church to sponsor you. If you need scholarship help, please email Debbie Scott or call 952/942-9016. Now I do it whenever I can." -- Julie Webb, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church "I highly recommend this training for Alpha leaders and helpers. The more we learn about and experience prayer, the more confidence we have in praying for guests who come on the Alpha course." -- Margene Vessel, Regional Director Alpha USA/Twin Cities "Prayer Ventures knows how to work in and through rather than around the local church. Their special giftedness was of great assistance to us in starting a prayer ministry." -- Rev.
