"I would like to share a HUGE praise with you! For eight years I was told that I had a permanent disability that I would have to live with the rest of my life.
"At the Prayer Ventures women's event, we were told to go out to the Arboretum grounds and listen to what God wanted to tell us that day. I started to pray and I immediately heard God speaking to me as if He were sitting next to me in the rose garden where I was seated. He told me that I was going to be healed.
"While I was pregnant with my first child, I had developed a three-foot blood clot in my left leg that was incredibly painful. I had to wear a compression sock all the time to prevent swelling and pain. I also had to take blood thinners to keep my blood levels in a normal range. I believed God would heal me—but not until I got to heaven.
"My husband Brian is a member of a men's Bible study group. On June 18th Brian told his six friends about the pain in my leg. They prayed for healing of my leg; then they told Brian to go home and lay on his hand on my leg and pray for healing. Brian told me what the men had prayed for, but he didn't feel led to pray for me at that time.
"That day at the Arboretum, June 19th, God told me that my leg would be healed and that it would happen through the Holy Spirit as Brian prayed for me. God also told me that I would know I was healed by the way my leg felt. He said my leg would feel strange and I would need to take the compression sock off to get it to feel better.
"On June 24th, Brian and I were praying about family matters. Brian felt led by the Holy Spirit to pray for healing of my left leg. As he put his hand on my leg and began to pray, it started to feel weird. He continued to pray, and my leg felt even more weird. The more he prayed, the more the sensation intensified. I was reminded of what God said to me. I told Brian what I was experiencing and took off my compression sock. My leg felt better immediately.
"I started to cry, utterly amazed. I knew God had healed me; I had no other evidence except what just happened. I went on to do tasks that afternoon that normally would have irritated my leg. The compression sock was off and I had no pain at all. That was weeks ago. Since then I have had no pain in my leg, no swelling or aching.
"My left leg was bigger than my right due to my blood clot and I had to wear jeans that were a size bigger to accommodate my left leg. I am able to wear jeans that are my 'real' size and I have more than enough room for my left leg to fit!
"I asked my doctor if I could get off my blood thinners. He said my leg looked great and agreed that I could stop my blood thinners permanently.
"This was astonishing. I had been told that I would never get off blood thinners. There was no technology to repair my leg—even at the Mayo Clinic. This was a permanent disability that I would have to deal with the rest of my life.
"My leg feels wonderful and I praise God for my healing! I am still in tears of joy over this!"
Mark your calendars for next year’s
